This weekend, I had my bridal shower. That still seems strange for me to say...MY bridal shower. It definitely made me even more excited for our big day, and helped to make it seem more "real". My mom and bridesmaids did such a great job of putting this weekend together. It was perfect-family and close friends, food, and mimosas. :)
I picked my mom up from the airport Thursday afternoon, and we hit the ground running!

Lots of errands to run and food to make!
Friday we stopped long enough to get pampered a bit with a manicure.
Last week, I took my niece to pick out a "princess dress" for the shower. She picked out a couple of dresses, and tried them on. In each dress, she had to come out of the dressing room to the 3-way mirror and do a little spin and show Landon before making her choice. The dress she picked came with a cute little purse, and we got a matching flower for her hair, too. She was so excited to wear her new stuff to "the birthday party with no boys". ;)

Saturday morning, Landon had his last weekend of soccer. It was the Jamboree, so they had four 30 minute games that started at 8:00AM. Mom and I caught the first game then ran home to finish up the food and get ready to head to the shower.
Go Green Machine!
My bridesmaid Jess let us use her beautiful home for the shower. I didn't get any pictures of the food..but it was all so yummy! Brunch themed-so egg bakes, fruit, bacon wrapped asparagus, veggies, chocolate covered strawberries and cheesecake bites. And mimosa bar!
My beautiful bridesmaids. My Maid of Honor, Nicole, wasn't able to make it, because doctors don't allow you to fly when you're 8 months pregnant. But we faced timed so she could still "be" there. :)
My mom's attention to detail and making events and memories special is amazing, and this weekend was no different.
My moms. :)
I finally got to meet baby Everly! She is so sweet, just like her mama!
My little love in the "princess dress" she picked out when we went shopping. She was the life of the party, such a big helper and was greeting people as they arrived and left. It was so cute.
We were all laughing so hard because she was adamant about lining up all the gifts and what order I should open them in. She kept me rolling right along. haha
My two god-daughters. I may be a boy mom, but I am blessed enough to have these girlies to love on!

It was such a fun day and everyone was so generous in gifting us with lots of fun new things. After the shower, we went back to our house and just relaxed and soaked in every last drop of this special day. All of Sissy's hard work caught up to her, because we looked over and found her sleeping sitting straight up! haha
Sunday we took it easy and slept in. We hit up one of our favorite brunch spots, then visited the Heritage Center, got an afternoon snack at Orange Leaf, and relaxed at home.
Monday morning Mom helped me to organize the giant mountain of gifts that consumed our dining room table over the weekend, and grabbed a quick lunch before she flew out.
The weekend came and went so fast, but it was one more the memory books. I am so blessed with such amazing, caring, generous and loving people in my life.
