We had so much fun this long Easter weekend. This year, Landon's spring break fell on the same week as Easter, so he had school off Wednesday-Tuesday. My mom and step-dad, Dave, decided to fly up and spend Easter weekend with us. We haven't seen them since we went to Texas for Christmas, so it was long overdue. We had so much fun with them (as we always do)-movies, games, and LOTS of food!
They flew in late Tuesday night, and Dave sent me this text when they "Landondid"....see what he did there? ;) Always so clever.
They surprised Cory and I with an early Easter present...our first grill! We have been wanting to get a grill, but were saving up to get a Weber like this one. Love is an understatement!
So we of course broke it in for supper that night. My step-dad is an awesome griller, so Cory had a pretty good teacher. ;)
We colored Easter eggs.....
While the guys watched all the basketball games.
My mom and Dave took Landon to see Zootopia on Thursday, so Cory and I used that time to get a few errands in and get the pickup washed. This is me....after 2+ hours of Cory washing the pickup. Normally we take it to a place where we just drive through, but he hasn't been very pleased with the outcome the last few times. So this time he decided to wash, dry, wax, and shine it all himself. #boring I took a nap after washing the windows. Cory didn't agree with my amount of #teamwork. ;)
Later that day, my mom and I snuck away from the boys to get a little shopping in!
Friday we had some family going through town, so we met them for lunch. Landon got the 'Glazed Donut Burger', and I was very skeptical that he would eat it. First of all, it was off the normal menu, not the kids menu. And this kid eats like a bird most of the time, and second of all, it is just a weird combination. But that kid ate every last bite of burger and fries on his plate. haha
Saturday we hung out and played board games, then we went to see Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Can you guess who he was rooting for?..........
Dave said about 3/4 through the movie, Landon turned to him and said, "Papa, I don't think they are actually going to fight." haha
Easter morning, we woke up and had a yummy breakfast of egg "nests", hash browns, bacon, and my mom's homemade caramel rolls before we headed to church.
We all went over to Cory's parent's for supper, then came home and all fell into food comas! haha
My mom and I made this super easy and yummy angel food cake with homemade whipped cream with strawberries for dessert and I could have eaten the entire thing!! We topped it with edible Easter grass and more fresh strawberries.
The Easter Bunny brought Landon the game Pie Face, so we got a round in after we got home.
Mom and Dave flew out early Monday morning. :( Cory took the day off and we just hung out in our pj's and rested up from our long and fun weekend.
Landon goes back to school tomorrow, so today we have been having a laid back day, too. He always takes it really hard when we have to say goodbye to Nana and Papa, so a couple days to relax in our pj's and cuddle seems to be the best medicine.

Hope everyone had a beautiful Easter weekend filled with family, friends, good food, and praise for the risen Lord!
