Tuesday was Cory's birthday! He is a typical man and totally down plays his birthday, so I do all that I can to make it special. Normally Cory is up and out the door by 7:15 every morning and Landon and I don't get up until 7:40. But for his birthday, I got up early and made him a yummy breakfast before he left for work. :)
I treated him to a quick lunch around 1:00, and made sure I knew where he would be the rest of the afternoon to complete my next mission..........

If you know Cory, you know that he loves to have his pickup spotless, so I grabbed the spare keys from home and stole his truck out of the lot from his office, (he drives a work vehicle during the day), and got it washed. He is also a Mountain Dew addict, so I threw in a couple of those too.
**When he got home from work, he said he walked out to the lot and could not find the pickup because he didn't recognize it all sparkly clean and backed into the space. haha

He picked hibachi at Kobe's for supper, so we met his family there after work.
That moment when you show up in the same outfit as your 2 yr old niece/goddaughter. haha Love my little diva!
Sissy was Uncle Cory's best friend when she found out he got ice cream. :)
All the kids wanted in on the ice cream action!
Love my boys!!
On the way home, we jammed out to old school songs that brought us back to our high school days, and Landon thought we were the most uncool parents ever. haha I think he was actually embarrassed of us for the first time. #parentingmilestone
We went home after supper to open presents and have "cake".
Cory is not a cake person, so for his birthday it's usually a banana cream pie, ice cream cake, or one of my mom's famous cheesecakes. But this year he requested dirt cake. haha Yes, for his 27th birthday, he wanted dirt cake. With sour gummy worms, not regular, of course. What the birthday boy wants, the birthday boy gets, right?!
We had a fun day celebrating with family and yummy food. Happy 27th Birthday, Cory Michael!
