Wellll... the cat's outta the bag! The Ploof's are moving to Missouri!! It's bittersweet...there is so much excitement in beginning our new adventure with family and friends in Missouri, but also sadness for the memories, friends and family that we are leaving behind in Bismarck.
For 16 years we have had too many goodbyes, see ya soon's, road trips and plane rides to count. And this was the last one:
For 16 years I have stood at this terminal in the KC airport and hugged my dad goodbye. Sometimes for a long time, sometimes for a short time, sometimes not knowing when the net time would be. And that was the last time. In this picture we knew we would be back shortly, and this time, for good.
I started to reminisce about all the trips we have taken back and forth over the years, and dug through pictures to find some memories that are too good not to share!
*All of Landon's baby pictures and pre-facebook years are buried deep in some box on some external hard drive that we have been unable to locate. :( I'm hoping that hard drive will resurface after this move.*

Nicole-We need to recreate this pic and add Nasher and G man.
One of my all time favorites. This was not prompted or staged. He was pouting because we were leaving MO.
We can finally continue our annual family sunflower field pics!
I wish I could find the picture of us having our "last supper" before I moved to ND. Just picture two 12 year old girls, matching denim skirts, ankle bracelets and chunky Steve Madden wedges, posing in front of the Casino after our "fancy" BFF farewell supper. On second thought, it's probably a good thing I couldn't find those pictures. HAHA
How different life looks now...in the picture below are those same girls, a few years older, with the addition of 2 husbands and 3 sweet little boys. Celebrating being reunited after 16 years. Yay!

This past month has FLOWN by and we only have a few more weeks left here in ND. Cory declared that we are getting rid of EVERYTHING (I mean, not everything, but pretty darn close) so we have been busy bees going through our storage unit-I mean-garage, selling items, donating items, and throwing things.
I am trying to remind myself daily that this is just a season of life, and the stress and 15 mile long to-do list will come to an end. Although, it's hard some days to focus on that as I drown in a sea of cardboard boxes, packing tape and bubble wrap.
Until then, we are trying to soak up as much time with our Bismarck people that we can, and enjoy our last few weeks as North Dakotans. ;)
