We stayed in our normal guestroom for two nights, then moved to a suite. It was BEAUTIFUL! I wish I would have taken better pictures of it. I could have stayed there forever. And the bathroom-to die for!!
Living room with access to double balcony.
Entry/dining/half bath
There was one half bath by the entry door, and this was the bedroom bathroom. The shower was INSANE!!
This picture is bad, it is a screen shot from a video, but the bedroom walked right out onto the double-sized balcony that the living room also had access to. And you could completely open the wall to the bathroom so if you were in the tub or shower, you could see all the way out to the ocean. So cool!
On rehearsal day, and early in the afternoon, our family hosted a big "happy hour" style get-together for us. Tons of yummy food (Thanks Dad!) and lots of catching up with everyone! I only have one photo from that get together...I tried my hardest to stay as present as I could all weekend, and rarely had my phone on me. Half of these pictures are ones that have been sent to me from family/friends.
After happy hour, we went back to the room and got ready for rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.
Just crying again...pretty sure I cried all weekend. haha
After rehearsal, we decided to spend some time with our bridal party, so we headed to downtown Fernandina Beach. It was the cutest, most quaint little town with brick paved streets, string lights hanging everywhere, little shops, and open air bars with live music and yard games. We had so much fun just kicking back and having fun with our closest friends that are like family to us.
We may or may not have had so much fun that we impulsively bought this very interesting portrait of an alligator from an artist that was live painting it at one of the bars. It will forever be the best story from our wedding. And it will forever hang in the man-cave. ;)
Next is wedding day!
